Welcome to Mattysmegs. For well over 30 years I have been diving and collecting fossil sharks teeth. My father introduced me to collecting fossils when I was only eight years old. From then on I was hooked. My dream was to become a Paleontologist. For many years I donated hundreds of hours preparing and cleaning fossils at the Charleston Museum. I even had a full time job during one summer preparing fossils there. It was a great experience. With this field in mind I started college courses and soon found that I not only disliked sitting in class, my mind was off somewhere in a distant river or collecting a new land sight. I could not wait for a diploma or a doctorate to go collecting, the urge was too great, and I soon found myself dealing fossils commercially instead of scientifically. I still have a great affection for sharing and every year make it a point to donate fossils to various museums and schools. | |||||||

My new challenge for the future will be repairing and creating lifelike reproductions of sharks teeth and shark jaws. These reproductions will be museum grade display pieces. Our projects are bold for now and may take years to finish but I promise that they will be great things to see. In the near future we will be creating reproduction jaws of Great Whites, a giant Mako, and a small Megalodon. We also repair and reconstruct sharks teeth, for those of you who may be interested in having your project tooth repaired, let us have the opportunity to repair it for you. Please check our gallery of repaired teeth to view projects we have already finished. Thank you for your time and if there are an questions I may be reached by e-mail at mattys@evenlink.com or by phone (843)290-7091. |
